Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman

After starting the company in his spare bedroom in 1999, Bandwidth has grown into one of the most trusted cloud platforms powering the global digital communications revolution. Equally innovative is the unique, mission-first culture developed to help “bandmates” stay highly engaged, healthy and balanced at work and in life. This culture has helped Bandwidth earn a reputation for customer service excellence, as there’s always a world-class bandmate on the other end of the line eager to go the extra mile.

In addition to Bandwidth’s many global giving, volunteering and community engagement programs, David is co-founder of Durham Cares, which fosters collaboration, leadership and outreach in Durham, North Carolina.

In 2010 he co-founded and served as chairman and CEO of Republic Wireless, which grew into a game-changing low-cost provider spun out of Bandwidth in 2016 and acquired by Dish Network in 2021. He is also the co-founder and Chairman of RelayPro, an innovative communications solution for frontline teams.

In 1994, David co-founded the Internet’s first online tax filing service, efiling.com. He was called to active duty by the Marine Corps in 1995 and served four years as a Judge Advocate, criminal prosecutor, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, and Headquarters Company Commander. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and a member of the Virginia Bar Association. He received his undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University, where he served as President of the Student Association.

Daryl Raiford

Daryl Raiford

Chief Financial Officer

Daryl Raiford has a proven track record of driving growth and scaling global organizations across multiple sectors in software, telecommunications and technology. As CFO, he oversees all financial strategy and operations for Bandwidth, including accounting, treasury, tax, financial analysis and reporting.

Before joining Bandwidth, he was Chief Financial Officer of Ribbon Communications (NASDAQ: RBBN), where he was credited with its strategic transformation and the successful integration of numerous global M&A deals–including the merger of GENBAND and Sonus Networks to create Ribbon and, most recently, Ribbon’s 2020 acquisition of ECI Telecom Ltd. Previously, Daryl was a top finance executive driving global growth at Freescale Semiconductor, Travelport Worldwide Ltd. and Hewlett-Packard. He is Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of Leone Media Inc., a private company operating as MediaKind.

Daryl holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Anthony Bartolo

Anthony Bartolo

Chief Operating Officer

A proven leader in cloud communications and SaaS, Anthony Bartolo is responsible for day-to-day operations at Bandwidth, leading the full P&L stack of Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, R&D and Technology.

Previously, Anthony was Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Avaya, where he led the transition to a SaaS-based business model, resulting in significant new customer wins and an 11-fold increase in annual recurring revenue. Before that, he held several executive roles at Tata Communications, including President of Mobility and Chief Product Officer. His accomplishments included designing and implementing a more competitive product strategy, spearheading the company’s expansion into new market segments, securing new strategic partnerships and expanding the company’s global footprint. Earlier experience includes President and CEO of Skyrider, a social and peer-to-peer networking start-up, Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless and RFID Divisions at Symbol Technologies (acquired by Motorola) and leadership roles at Nortel Networks.

A native Australian, Anthony has a bachelor’s degree in engineering with honors from RMIT University in Melbourne.

Rebecca Bottorff

Rebecca Bottorff

Chief People Officer and Director

Rebecca Bottorff serves as both a director and the company’s Chief People Officer. As a member of Bandwidth’s board of directors, she brings a 30-year track record of enabling organizations to scale by building employer-of-choice cultures with highly engaged workforces.

As Chief People Officer, she is responsible for developing and directing the overall People Services (human resources) strategy for Bandwidth. She also oversees internal communications, Global Real Estate and facilities management, and the company’s corporate giving and community involvement program, Bandwidth Cares.

Before Bandwidth, Rebecca was founder and President of Venture Savvy Consulting Group, providing human resources and leadership expertise primarily to growing technology companies. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Human Resources and a member of the executive team at Motricity (now Voltari), a publicly traded digital advertising company. Earlier, she was Vice President of Human Resources and a member of the executive team at then-public Konover Property Trust.

Rebecca holds a B.A in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati.

Brandon Asbill

Brandon Asbill

General Counsel

Brandon is an accomplished legal professional at the helm of navigating domestic and international regulatory affairs, corporate governance, and the management of cross-functional legal teams. As General Counsel, Brandon Asbill oversees all legal operations for Bandwidth, including corporate, sales, human resources, intellectual property, compliance, and regulatory functions.

Before joining Bandwidth, Brandon spent 12 years with Red Hat, where he served as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel. He led teams that completed over 20 acquisitions with an aggregate value of more than $1.5 billion. He also led key aspects of IBM’s $34 billion acquisition of Red Hat, which was the then-largest software acquisition in history.

Brandon obtained his undergraduate degree in History from Princeton University and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Kade Ross

Kade Ross

Chief Information Officer

A transformational leader and strategic business partner, Kade has kept Bandwidth at the forefront of continuous growth and digital transformation for over 20 years, from startup to global public company. As Chief Information Officer, he oversees Bandwidth’s information technology, data governance, analytics, service management and security functions.

Kade joined Bandwidth as employee no. 13 in 2002, and he has been an integral part of Bandwidth’s most important milestones ever since. He guided enterprise sales and support for one of Bandwidth’s largest customer accounts, and helped lead the team that successfully built the first iteration of the company’s voice network within nine months. As the company scaled, he held double-hatted roles in IT along with Enterprise Sales, People Services and Facilities management. More recently, he integrated a complex global acquisition and attained the stringent requirements of the ISO 27001:2013 information security management standard across the entire scope of Bandwidth’s global network, APIs, and people and business processes.

Kade has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Devesh Agarwal

Devesh Agarwal

Chief Software Strategy Officer

Devesh is leading Bandwidth’s transformation into a software-led company powering end-to-end, mission-critical cloud communications for Global 2000 enterprises. With over 30 years of experience in communications and mobility, including over 25 patents, Devesh is a technology visionary with an immense passion for SaaS and making a long-lasting impact on growing companies.

Previously, Devesh was Chief Product Officer at network analytics provider Sandvine, where he converted the company’s software portfolio to cloud-native and drove the evolution from 4G to 5G, contributing year-over-year growth acceleration. Before that, Devesh led a team of over 1100 software developers at Oracle, where his accomplishments included building the company’s first 5G products, which became the industry standard for Tier 1 providers around the world. Devesh’s knowledge of Bandwidth’s space is extensive, bolstered by years of software development, product management and sales engineering leadership.

He has a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the KNIT, India.

John Bell

John Bell

Chief Product Officer

A forward-thinking leader with a strong vision for transforming customer needs and market research into high value product solutions, John Bell is responsible for driving product strategy, innovation, design, and execution across Bandwidth’s product portfolio as Chief Product Officer.

While at Bandwidth, John held a key role in the planning, discovery, and launch of Bandwidth’s powerful API platform, while working directly with the market leaders in enterprise communications that rely on Bandwidth’s platform and products.

Previously, John managed products within the mobile ecosystem at Motricity, where he helped grow the $100MM+ wireless carrier business during Motricity's IPO process and first year as a public company. He has been responsible for key innovation initiatives at Infospace and Accenture prior.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College.

Michelle (Flynn) Birch

Senior Vice President, Operations

Michelle leads our high-performing global operations team at Bandwidth, ensuring our customers receive a best-in-class Bandwidth Experience–from onboarding and traffic assurance, to number operations and technical support. Michelle champions a human-centric approach to customer service, which along with the company’s unique people-focused culture, is the reason Bandwidth maintains a high customer satisfaction rating.

Originally a programmer, Michelle has built a 30-year career of leading cross-functional teams to elevate customer excellence and deliver complex projects. She headed the integration of Bandwidth’s acquisition of Voxbone in Oct. 2020, driving organizational, cultural and operational changes to transform Bandwidth into a global cloud communications leader.

Her previous experience includes a mix of pre-IPO and public companies–including American Tower, SpectraSite, Motricity, GMA Healthcare and Freddie Mac–across a number of categories, including software, mobile telecom, healthcare, financial services and digital advertising. Michelle has a B.S. in Technology Management from the University of Maryland.

Amaya Lantero

Amaya Lantero

GM, International

Amaya has deep experience building and scaling international tech companies in all stages of the growth cycle. As General Manager of International, she leads Bandwidth’s strategy to become the platform of choice for Global 2000 enterprise cloud communications.

Previously, Amaya was Chief Revenue Officer at Voxbone, where she helped launch and commercialize the company’s innovative global platform as well as lead Voxbone’s corporate development activities, including the company’s acquisition by Bandwidth in 2020.

Earlier, she held a number of corporate development roles in executive and advisory positions, including at Blippar, a U.K.-based augmented reality tech company, where she built a partner network from scratch and turned it into the company’s highest growth revenue stream through the commercialization of its SaaS product. Amaya got her start in corporate finance and investment banking, advising fast-growing tech companies on their strategy, M&A and financing.

Amaya has a joint degree in law and business from ICADE, Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid.

Scott Mullen

Scott Mullen

Chief Technology Officer

With a rare combination of strong technical and leadership skills, Scott is responsible for the engineering, operation and overall technical strategy of Bandwidth’s global cloud communications platform.

During his career at Bandwidth, Scott and his team have scaled Bandwidth from a U.S.-only CLEC to a global, resilient, highly scalable CPaaS that powers the most mission-critical communications for global enterprises. His team also gives Bandwidth customers an unparalleled level of knowledge and insight to meet regulatory compliance obligations and gain insights into a rapidly changing global communications ecosystem.

Previously, Scott worked for Lucent Technologies designing and implementing the company’s next generation IP platforms and applications. He also held software engineering leadership roles at what is now DXC Technology, a leading IT services and consulting firm.

Scott has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Karl Perkins

Karl Perkins

Chief Innovation Officer

Well known to our largest customers and well regarded by the vast network of technologists in our space, Karl Perkins has a track record for driving transformational technology strategies across the cloud communications space. In his role as Chief Innovation Officer at Bandwidth he will be driving research and disruptive technologies into a more differentiated product roadmap that delivers a higher level of customer value and growth.

Karl has a broad mix of consulting and technical innovation leadership at top global service providers and communications technology companies. Most recently, Karl served as Chief Technology Officer at Avaya, and he also served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President at Tata Communications, as well as product management and architecture at Cisco.

Karl holds a PhD in Distributed Computing from Loughborough University.

Sandy Preizler

Sandy Preizler

Chief Revenue Officer

Sandy Preizler is a hands-on leader who has built teams that consistently exceeded sales goals for billion-dollar cloud and software portfolios. As Chief Revenue Officer, he is responsible for the company’s sales and marketing teams and all go-to-market initiatives.

Most recently, Sandy was Senior Vice President of Global Sales/CRO for the Hospitality division of NCR, leading close to $1 billion in sales of cloud and licensed software, managed and professional services, and hardware. He exceeded sales targets five years in a row while transforming to a recurring revenue model and expanding margins.

He had similar accomplishments as Worldwide Head of Sales for Avaya’s Service Provider business–growing revenue to $1.1 billion–and as Global Head of Channels and Distribution at Symbol Technologies Inc. (now Motorola), where he led $1.2 billion in revenue via 40 global distributors, 10,000 reselling partners and 300 independent software vendor partners.

Sandy started his career at Cisco, where he spent close to a decade in domestic and international sales leadership positions. This included living in Paris serving as the EMEA Sales Leader for the Mobile Service Provider business, and growing the U.S. Channel business from $800m to $1.2B.

Sandy has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Queens College, City University of New York.
